Adfinitas Health Announces Critical Care Services Expansion

by | Jan 19, 2021

As our country endures another surge, many of our programs have witnessed a severe increase in census over a couple of months, accompanied by higher medical complexity; undeniably, our teams have stepped up and leaned in. This is particularly true with our critical care medicine (CCM) colleagues.

As we continue to grow our hospitalist and post-acute businesses, additional emphasis has been concomitantly placed on expanding our CCM portfolio. Connected to this objective and its support, we would like to announce two notable promotions:

• Dr. Laurie Loiacono has been promoted to the role of Director of CCM Services. Dr. Loiacono has been in critical care medicine and leadership for 20-plus years. She was instrumental in our start-up ICU program last year at Mercy Hospital in Massachusetts and remains one of the principal reasons for the program’s continued successes.
• Deb Bohan (PA) has been promoted to the role of Assistant Director of CCM Services, a complementary position to Dr. Loiacono’s, one that ensures our ICU-APP on-boarders are properly educated and trained for their important work for patients and Adfinitas. Deb is also an experienced leader with years of CCM experience.

We’ve already seen the benefits of their collaboration and leadership at Mercy Hospital and we are confident their promotions will align us to better support our existing programs and to better position us for new growth.

Congratulations to Dr. Loiacono and Deb Bohan, serving as our CCM “True North” and aiming to deliver a standardized, quality-care approach.
